Misano World Circuit, 11 September 2025 – Everything is ready at Misano World Circuit to kick off the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix weekend. Sunday’s race will be the thirty-second hosted at the “Marco Simoncelli,” a story that began in 1980 with Kenny Roberts’ victory.
Tomorrow at 8:30 am, the first free practice of MotoE will mark the start of the long weekend.
SPORT AS A DRIVER OF TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT: DIALOGUE BETWEEN SAN MARINO AND ITALY
This morning, in the Sala Rio at Misano World Circuit, the second day of the conference “The Future of Sport as a Driver of Territorial Development” took place, promoted by the State Secretariat for Sport of the Republic of San Marino in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in San Marino. After the opening remarks by the Secretary of State for Sport Rossano Fabbri and the Italian Ambassador Fabrizio Colaceci, three panels followed, highlighting the importance of dialogue between San Marino and Italy. Discussions included business, infrastructure, sporting excellence, training, and also sporting events as a means of tourism promotion and economic impact. Speakers included Emilia-Romagna’s Regional Councillor for Tourism, Commerce and Sport, Roberta Frisoni.
YESTERDAY’S MEDIA EVENT IN SAN MARINO: RIDERS ON THE SIMULATORS
While waiting to tackle the real corners of the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, several riders warmed up yesterday afternoon on professional simulators, engaging in mini-challenges that entertained the public at Campo Bruno Reffi in San Marino. Participating were Moto3 riders Luca Lunetta and Riccardo Rossi, along with Toni Arbolino, Celestino Vietti and Mattia Pasini (Moto2), Luca Bernardi, Mattia Casadei and Matteo Ferrari (MotoE). Also present were MotoGP rider and tester Michele Pirro, two-time world champion Manuel Poggiali, and motorally riders Thomas Marini and Jacopo Cerutti.
MISANO GREEN CIRCUIT: ACTIONS FOR A SUSTAINABLE AND INCLUSIVE EVENT
The Red Bull San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix once again highlights KiSS Misano – Keep it Shiny and Sustainable, the environmental and social sustainability program promoted by Misano World Circuit as part of the Misano Green Circuit project, in partnership with FIM, Dorna, and IRTA. The program includes a series of initiatives that make the event increasingly sustainable and inclusive.
Once again this year, KiSS Misano focuses on waste separation, providing information, tools, and practical conditions to ensure correct recycling and prevent littering. At the KiSS Misano info desk, spectators will also take part in a fun and educational activity: the basketball game “Score for Recycling!”, designed to raise awareness in an engaging way.
Special attention will be given to PET bottle collection, promoted by COREPLA (the National Consortium for the Collection, Recycling, and Recovery of Plastic Packaging). The initiative will involve team hospitality areas, the circuit’s restaurant, and food outlets. One eco-compactor will be located at the KiSS Misano info desk in the paddock area, while a team of “green rangers” will roam among spectators with special backpacks to collect bottles and promote correct recycling. Another eco-compactor will be placed in the MWC Square, always accessible to the public throughout the year.
The fight against food waste is also confirmed: on Saturday and Sunday, surplus food from hospitality areas and teams will be collected by volunteers from the Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII Association and donated to shelters providing evening and overnight accommodation for homeless people.
The partnership with Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII is also crucial for welcoming visitors with disabilities. Several equipped areas have been set up with gazebos, refreshment areas, and other services to ensure the best possible experience for people with disabilities and their companions.
The coordination of KiSS Misano is entrusted to Right Hub Società Benefit, an internationally recognized company specializing in sustainable event management projects.
THE RIDERS’ LAND EXPERIENCE: TOMORROW’S EVENTS
The “Riders’ Land Experience” calendar continues across the territory. Tomorrow, in Coriano, there will be a special lighting of the flame dedicated to Marco Simoncelli at the Dainese “Every Sunday” installation at 7:00 pm.
In Riccione, the Ingar Motor Fest will open, running until Sunday in the historic Abissinia area (Viale Amerigo Vespucci). In Rimini, the Red Bull Riders Night will take place; in Misano Adriatico, Dedikato events will light up Arena 58 and the city center; while Cattolica will transform into a circuit of emotions with motorcycles, music, and entertainment (Piazza 1° Maggio, Via Fiume, and Via Curiel).
