Misano World Circuit, 9 April 2024 – A journey into the future. It is the most recurring description to define a stage of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, with fully electric single-seaters that bring performance, efficiency and sustainability to the track at the highest level.

On the eve of the Misano E-Prix, from Friday at the Misano World Circuit with tests on Friday and two races scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, both at 3.00 pm, the anticipation is growing to see the GEN3 live, the fastest, lightest and most efficient ever built.

The engine delivers up to 350kW of power and the single-seaters reach a speed of 320km/h, with a weight/power ratio twice as efficient as an equivalent internal combustion engine. 40% of the energy used in the race is produced by regenerative braking.

THE MOTOR VALLEY IN FORMULA E: MASERATI AND THE PROTAGONISTS

On the track at the Misano E-Prix there will be a significant presence of prestigious companies from the Motor Valley, an industrial district linked to the world of motors that is unique in the world, with 16,500 companies and over 90,000 employees, 16 billion in annual turnover and exports of 7 billion. On the track, Maserati presents itself on the strength of Gunther’s victory in Tokyo in the last race, while the chassis that envelop the engines are built by Dallara Automobili, which creates the monocoque.

THE FORMAT OF THE MISANO E-PRIX

The first free practices are scheduled for Friday 12 April from 5pm to 5.30pm. Electric single-seaters back on track on Saturday morning at 8.00 for thirty minutes and from 10.20 to 11.45 qualifying sessions to establish the starting grid. Race 1 Saturday 13 April at 3pm.

On Sunday we start again with the same program: free practice at 8.00, qualifying at 10.20 and race 2 at 3.00.

At the Misano E-Prix, Pascal Wehrlein (Tag Heuer Porsche) presents himself as the leader of the standings with only two points ahead of Nick Cassidy (Jaguar TCS Racing). The top five drivers in the standings race in five different teams: Porsche, Jaguar, Nissan, Andretti and Maserati.

The Formula E World Championship has been certified zero carbon emissions since the first year and in addition to the sporting spectacle it brings a message of technological innovation to the whole world to support sustainable mobility.

THE SPECTACLE OF THE COMPETITIONS

There is great balance on the track and every race reserves surprises and exciting endings. Last year there were seven different winners, with eleven drivers on the podium. In nine seasons the Formula E World Championship has been won by eight different drivers and even in the current season, the tenth, there have been five different winners in the five races held.
