One of the essential requirements to host the MotoGP championship for the next five years has been conforming the Misano track to the international standards.
The new clockwise track replaces the previous one, which was witness to some  unforgettable moments in motor sports.
The track has been slightly lengthened and now it is 4226 metres, 12 metres wide at its minimum and validated for every sport competition by international organizations.
The new Santa Monica Spa project has been verified by the MotoGP Safety Committee, and specially by  Loris Capirossi and Valentino Rossi.
Particularly the most important innovations have been carried out in the del Rio and del Carro curves area.
There are nine right side curves, five left side curves and 1850 metres of straights.
New stands have been set up, so that now there are almost 20 thousand covered seats available, while the circuit maximum capacity is about 60 thousand places.
One characteristic of this circuit is that it is completely lit, in order to assure an endless show!
